Len Libby’s Legacy Collection
In 1896 at the age of thirteen, Len Libby began as an apprentice with candymakers in the Portland, Maine area.
After years of perfecting his craft he opened his own shop in Scarborough in 1926.
As a college student in 1949, another young man, Fernand Hemond, began working summers under the tutelage of Len Libby where he acquired the knowledge, skills and passion for candymaking from the Dean of Candymakers of Maine.
Today the Hemond family continues the tradition and commitment of unparalleled quality with our Legacy Collection inspired by this heritage of Scarborough Maine's third oldest business. Enjoy!
