Retail Sales Associate Job Description & Responsibilities: 
As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales in a fast-paced retail environment. You will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining store appearance, keeping items stocked and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your primary objective will be to meet or exceed sales goals while delivering excellent service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
-Customer Assistance: Greet customers warmly, assess their needs, and provide assistance and recommendations on products or services. Offer product knowledge, features and benefits to help customers make informed purchase decisions.
-Sales Generation: Actively engage with customers to promote and sell products or services. Use persuasive selling techniques, such as upselling and cross-selling, to maximize sales opportunities. Meet or exceed individual and store sales targets.
-Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of the merchandise available in the store, including features, benefits and pricing. Stay up-to-date with product trends and new arrivals. Share product knowledge with customers to enhance their shopping experience.
-Cashier/Point of Sale: Accurately process customer transactions, including cash, credit card and electronic payments, using the store's Shopify point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Merchandising and Store Presentation: Ensure the sales floor is visually appealing, well-stocked, and organized at all times. Assist with receiving, unpacking and replenishing merchandise. Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the store, including display areas, bathrooms and common areas.
-Customer Service: Provide exceptional service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaint, and handling customer requests in a friendly and professional manner. Strive to create a positive and personalized shopping experience for each customer.
-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive work environment. Support colleagues during busy periods, assist with inventory management and participate in store-wide promotional activities.
-Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Follow all company policies, procedures and guidelines, including those related to cash-handling, safety, security and loss prevention. Adhere to scheduling and attendance policies.

Qualifications and Requirements:
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Ability to provide excellent customer service and build rapport with customers
-Knowledge of sales techniques and ability to meet or exceed sales targets
-Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling a plus
-Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
-Physical ability to stand, walk and lift objects frequently
-Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and extended hours as needed

Kitchen Maintenance Job Description and Responsibilities:
-Log in and Move freight (candy boxes weigh 50 lbs) and ingredients as they arrive
-Inventory Ingredients, Order Ingredients and Supplies, Interact with vendors
-Dishes, Washing Chocolate Molds, Vents, Mixers, Floors, Tables, Machines, Starch Room, etc
-Cook Nuts - Cashews, Pecans, Splits, Peanuts
-Make Candy -Bangors, Taffies, Fudges, Caramels, Turtles, etc.
-Prep Chocolate and Move Chocolate throughout building, Start Chocolate Tempering Process
-Sift Starch, Setup Starch Trays
-Ingredient/Product Shopping Runs - Getting potato chips, Grahams, Sodas, Water, Oreos, etc
-Help Decorate Exterior of Building, Keeping Premises Clean, Empty Trash, Setup Decorations, Shoveling Snow, Deicing, Keep Bathrooms Clean (inside and out), Check Sewer Line. Other Tasks as directed by management
This position includes lifting and dumping heavy copper kettles full of hot candy
– physical strength is required in order to ensure the safety of the participants.

- Typical hours/schedule – Typical hours are 7-4 M-F. This is somewhat negotiable. Our current kitchen team arrives at 6:30 AM and leaves early. We are looking for a full time, regular employee we would train. We would consider summer help and/or part time help, but prefer to get someone on board who wants stable, enjoyable work and can grow with us.

- Minimum age for position – 18
- Pay range: Starting wage for full time help in the kitchen is $20-
22/hr. We generally give raises early and often when the team member learns the
basics of the job. A trained kitchen/maintenance member should expect about $23-24/hr then with annual raises after training. Year end bonuses are usually given.
- What benefits are included? This position currently receives paid meal breaks. We comply with the state’s Earned Paid Leave program, so EPL is acquired. We supply health insurance to full time employees. We are currently looking at plans for retirement options.

The ideal candidate has reliable transportation to perform running errands for the
kitchen. This does not disqualify a candidate who does not have a vehicle, as long as they can get to work as directed.

Comments: We currently have a great team here at Len Libby, and are looking for
someone who likes to work with others, but can also work alone. We are a small,
family-run business, so no single day looks like the next – there is always a new task, with everyone “chipping in” to get projects done as needed.
